Wonderland is a co-working space situated on the ground floor of the WELL-certified Säterinportti office campus in Leppävaara. Members have access to co-working spaces, small offices, a lounge area and kitchen with restaurants and a gym close by. Wonderland is community minded and there are plenty of opportunities to network with colleagues in different businesses. Members benefit from shared activities such as coffee breaks, yoga, breakfast and after works.
Wonderland’s main workspace is situated in an atrium on the ground floor with an impressive ceiling height that spans upwards of seven floors. The design team have created a yard space in the atrium, with two traditional Finnish mökki huts to make the space more intimate and interactive. The mökki huts are functional spaces for meetings and the designers have also incorporated a small auditorium, TV station and retro styled phone booths into the mökki designs.
To adapt Wonderland the design team have used BAUX acoustic materials to clad the mökki huts. The patterning of the BAUX tiles on the mökki huts reflects traditional brick and wood construction methods. The wood wool fibres bring playful colours, textures and patterns to these structural design elements whilst absorbing sounds in the human voice range creating a calmer, softer workspace.
